Church of St Mary of the Assumption

This is the main church of Apollosa. Much of the existing structure dates back to the mid-1600s.

The church has a longitudinal plan and is divided into three naves. Its interior houses a painting by Castellano, depicting ‘The Madonna and Child among Saints’.

The gabled front features a central rose window and a lunette depicting Saint Mary of the Assumption.
The structure is accessible through two doors, a large central stone portal and a smaller door located to the side.

On the left side of the building stands the bell tower with a clock with a square base.
